Lloyd is an RnB singer who got his start as part of a young teen group by the name of N-Toon which disbanded in 2001. From there Lloyd signed his first solo deal with Basketball Legend, Magic Johnson, under his MJM label. From here, Lloyd would be discovered by Irv Gotti and Inc. Records (formally known as Murder Inc. Records). He was shortly after signed to the label, and in July of 2004, the album Southside was released. The album reached #11 on the Billboard 200 chart and #3 on the RnB/Hip Hop charts, outselling RnB singer Ashanti. That same year he joined forces with Ashanti and rapper Scarface for Lloyd’s Southside remix single, as well as with 8Ball and MJG and Ja Rule for their respective projects. His follow-up album Street Love was released in 2007, which reached Gold status and peaked at #2 on the Billboard top 100 charts. This album produced to very commercially successful singles, You and Get It Shawty ft Lil Wayne. Both of these singles top the Hot 100 charts in the United States and United Kingdom. In 2009 after having left The Inc. Records and signing with Interscope, Lloyd was featured in the song Bedrock which was the single from Lil Wayne’s Young Money compilation album. This feature helped catapult Lloyd even more. Recently, Lloyd released his Tru EP in December of 2016. With many features over the years, and has since released a total 4 solo studio albums, with his 5th studio album titled Out My Window due 2017.
