Kelly Price has been a huge name in the R&B and Gospel music worlds. Kelly is a 6-time Grammy nominated artist, who was discovered by Mariah Carey, while rehearsing for a Grammy performance with George Michael. Since that time, Kelly has been featured in numerous songs including, Mariah Carey’s Fantasy, Biggie’s Mo Money, Mo Problems, and many more. In addition, Kelly sang backup vocals for artist such as Faith Evans, Brian McKnight, Aretha Franklin, and R. Kelly. In 1998, Price released her debut album Soul Of A Woman. This album sprouted out the chart topping hit Friend of Mine as well as a remixed version which featured Ronald Isley and R. Kelly. Mirror Mirror her second album was released in 2000 which again produced many chart topping singles like Should’ve Told You and her cover of Shirley Murdock’s As We Lay. Kelly Price has since then released 5 other solo albums, with the most recent being in 2014. In 2003 she was featured in the movie Bringing Down the House and in 2006 was featured in Why Did I Get Married? Priceless Secrets from The Soul of A Woman with the song she recorded Why? for the soundtrack. As of 2016, Kelly Price has been a part of many songs on Kanye West’s latest album The Life Of Pablo, as well as K. Michelle’s Not a Little Bit single for the More Issues Than Vogue album (2016). Kelly Price was also featured in the R&B Divas of LA Reality Show.
