MTV has offered each of the stars of Jersey Shore $5,000 per episode plus a $10,000 signing bonus to do another season of the hit reality show, reports TMZ. However, the cast has rejected the offer, asking for more money.

MTV is now offering $10,000 per episode in the 12-episode season, and saying they will not go any higher and will only keep the cast members who accept the deal. They say they already have replacements lined up for those stars who choose to walk away, and will do a mix-and-match second season if some housemates stay while others leave.

Michael “The Situation” Sorrentino and Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio are reportedly being the most stubborn in negotiations.
